The Intrepid Group expands Fort Collins facility
FORT COLLINS, CO. July 14, 1993 - Effective July 1, The Intrepid Group
will provide fulfillment services for Gurze Books, the Carlsbad, California publisher
headed by Leigh Cohn. Gurze, a leading publisher of psychology books, specializes in
titles relating to eating disorders.
Intrepid will triple its Fort Collins, Colorado office/warehouse to 21,600
square feet to accommodate the expanded warehouse operation, according to Neil McCaffrey
III and Arthur Maranjian. "Further expansion is likely by 1994, "added
McCaffrey and Maranjian. Gene McCaffrey, Vice President for Operations of McCaffrey
Enterprises, transferred in June to the Fort Collins facility to supervise the increased
activity.
Gurze president Leigh Cohn also serves as president of Publishers' Marketing
Association, the trade group that serves over 1600 publishers from its Hermosa Beach,
California headquarters.
Neil McCaffrey III is president of McCaffrey Enterprises. Arthur Maranjian
is vice president of The Intrepid Group, Inc. The two companies provide fulfillment,
marketing, advertising and warehouse services for medium-sized and small book and magazine
publishers from their Fort Collins facility and also from their office warehouse at 15
Oakland Avenue, Harrison, New York 10528.
